Itinerary

Day 1

Leave Bukittinggi at 9 am for Panorama Baru Village (approximately 30 minutes by bus). Upon arrival, we will begin our trek to Sawah Dangka village on a trail surrounded by jungle, hills, rice fields, and rivers. While trekking you may see monkeys, snakes, a variety of butterflies, and birds. When we arrive at Sawah Dangka you will have a chance to see and learn about how the local people live. Later we will head to the riverside to enjoy lunch along the beautiful landscape. After lunch we wander into the jungle to explore some of the surrounding villages where we will spend our afternoon with local people working in the field . A dinner of local specialties will be prepared by your guide and we will spend the evening in the hut surrounded by a green hill with a panoramic view on Lake Maninjau.

Day 2

After breakfast we will leave the hut and trek to go down from the highest hill we called Puncak Lawang. On our way we will pass some villages and see how local life is. During our walk down we will be enjoying the panoramic view on the lake and beautiful rice terraces. After some time relaxing and swimming at Maninjau Lake, we will return to Bukittinggi. Note : Remember to bring a good pair of walking/trekking shoes, sandal, swimming suits, sun cream, sun glasses, t-shirt and long sleeve for the evening and a smile!
